1:1 Support
Yes, absolutely. Our training can help with a wide range of issues from basic obedience to more complex behavioural issues.
The number of sessions depends entirely on the severity of your dog’s behaviour, their ability to learn and your commitment to correcting it. Where possible I will help and provide you with the tools to correct the issues you are facing. This will never be more than is necessary and never more than you are comfortable with.
At the consultation we will seek to understand what the issue is and how we can best help you. We will work with you to understand the history, when and how it started, how it manifests, the affect it is having on you, what outcome you’d like and what you have tried already. We will then see the behaviour being demonstrated and give some initial exercisesfor you to start working on.

Yes! We are proud to have received our 4* rating from Breckland Council
YES! Both Kris and Emily who host the retreat are Dog First Aid trained and certified.
Yes!
This doesn’t have to be an issue. We have two dogs of our own so we would need to be confident that they will not come to harm or be too unsettled before we agree to welcome your dog into our home. That said we will work with you where possible to find a workable solution that means all the dogs have a great experience. Our dogs are friendly, relaxed and very welcoming of new friends.
We only look after one household at a time to ensure your dog(s) get the very best attention and experience. There may be occasions where there is a small crossover between bookings however we reduce the likelihood of this where possible.
We are based in beautiful rural Norfolk between Attleborough and Wymondham. Just 15mins from Norwich and a short throw from the A11. We are surrounded by beautiful fields, winding tracks, picturesque lakes and shady wooded walks. With lots of wildlife and interesting smells it is dog heaven!
Training - Puppy Classes
On the 6th session of your puppy course we will host a fun event where we will cover a lot of the exercises covered and give you chance to show off the hard work you have been putting in with a talent show! The ‘Top Dog’ will get a bag of goodies and a voucher for additional services provided by us!
Yes! For the safety of every dog that joins us we do ask that all puppies are fully vaccinated before they start their puppy course.
That’s ok! Everyone learns at different speeds, dogs included! Progress can depend on a whole host of factors, from your confidence and experience to your dogs’ breed. We will work with you and offer all the support you need during your time on the course. If you need a bit of extra support beyond the initial 6 weeks, we can discuss what additional help you might need and tailor support to help you achieve your goals.
Before your first class you will be sent a list of essential equipment to bring with you, but don’t worry, so long as you have a puppy and a willingness to learn we’ll be just fine and can help you with any extra bits.
Our puppy classes have a core agenda that we look to cover as detailed on the information page. At Walnut Tree Dog Services though we want to ensure that each customer gets the very best experience and achieves their aims, that’s why when you book with us we will ask you what it is YOU want to achieve during your time with us. We will do our best to help you with this, or we will provide you with options to achieve this in the future.
We recognise that a dog is a family commitment and that different families have different needs. We ask that where possible, no more than two people accompany each puppy. This is to ensure that our venues are not overcrowded and that we keep distractions to a manageable level to enable the best level of learning.
